{beauty} 10 of the best

beauty-products-flowers

I don’t really have favourites lining my wash bag, or products I can’t leave the house without.

The fundamental principles for my beauty buys pertain to one factor only.

I NEED it.

SO without further ado… a list of my most-needed buys so far this year:

clockwise;

Baies Candle by Diptyque | buy these on repeat whenever House of Fraser have 20% discount. Clean white so me packaging and a fruity/rosey scent you can place anywhere in the house and it not feel too overwhelming.

Dr Russo SPF Cleanser | It kind of boggles me that this even works but it does. A simple foam up,lather on, rinse off and my face is UVA/UVB protected before I’ve even opened my eyes.

Vichy Normaderm BB Clear Cream | This works. A skin smoother/pigment tamer. Especially on holiday when my freckles begin multiplying at a rate of knots. I’ve used a few BB creams but find the texture of this one lighter and less oily.

By Terry Serum Terrybly Sunbooster | I can’t find this anywhere on the cheap – linked to the smartest buy I could find. But I’d go so far as to flag this one up as THE desert island product for me. Especially when travelling as I use this as my serum/gradual-tanner/deep-hydrating weapon. And a chemical-free self-tan is where I’m at these days.

Atkinsons Jasmine in Tangerine Eau de Parfum | Worth. Every. Penny. And well worth a dive into the sprinkler system that is Selfridges Beauty Hall.  It’s floral and refreshing and beautiful all in one hit. A real summer fave.

Grown Alchemist Hydra Mist | In theory a potent peptide formula with hydrating, smoothing & skin boosting ingredients. In practice, a summer regular… a grab-from-my-bag saber on the underground. One I like to spritz my face/neck and palms with and feel fabulous at 40 degree heat.

Grown Alchemist Matte Balancing Moisturiser | I’m not the most loyal when it comes to moisturisers, preferring whatever I can get my hands on to do the job. I like the packaging, the old-school metal tube it comes in, the bearded-god in John Lewis that engaged me to buy it. Plus it’s non-greasy and smells nice.

Percy & Reed Wonder Prime Light for Hair | It all began when I needed to spend an extra £5 to qualify for free delivery with Asos – cue random purchase of Percy & Reed dry shampoo (smells divine). That turned into a love affair and now occasional tete treat. This tube will single handedly protect/prime/have your styling back every day so long as you stick to the rules and tease it through wet locks after every wash. Weapon.

also featured:

Valentino sunnies – the Rockstud’s are still number one. Carat London Melissa Ring officially my new show-stopper. Benefit High-Beam for summer cheeks and night-time shimmer. VvB X Nails Inc. Bamboo White Nail Polish just because.

And finally this…

By Terry Grain De Rose | The exfoliator of kings – I’d take a bullet for this tube of granulated impurity chaser. Best in the industry and I’ve tested a LOT. And she looks lovely on my dressing table.

I’m also sipping Collagen Shots at the minute. The aim – to plump and rehydrate the skin from within… the changes to my skin are pretty remarkable. Keep your eyes peeled for my before/after pics coming soon…
