This hat is just the start for me.

I spend way more on accessories and shoes in Autumn than I do at any other time of year. Maybe a reflux to all the fashion inspiration and street-style stalking I do through September.

wearing: buckled metallic-heel booties, mini-skirt, high-neck ruffled blouse (chevron-trimmed fedora in store only) all from Forever 21

So I’ve developed a strategy… one which avoids that rabbit-caught-in-the-head-lights condition I usually Mr. Luxe’s credit card usually suffers.

I test out a trend first. Trial the high-street edits and experiment with the capsule collections before I decide I need the runway original. Almost always settling on one key piece in time for my Christmas stocking. Sorry. Not sorry.

Forever 21’s Retro Revival collection landed only last Friday and already I know I need more cropped floaty action in my life and probably a pair of tights if I’m to get the most out of this cute mini.

Maybe a swanky bag too… But this hat though.

Happy to stay firmly under this halo for now.
