NEED A H-UGG

Fresh from my month of merry-go-round fashion weeks and the prerequisite foot torture, it was about time I upped my hoof-du-jour game and introduced another element of fluff to the clan.

Fluffy-feet are very much in vogue and sit well in my beige-scale winter fantasies. But only a classic bootie, a big gun like the UGG was ever gonna help me re-kindle my ravaged tootsie relationship.

So I got involved.

I probably should mention at this point that I’ve been worshipping at the holy UGG grail since 2004. My first a treat to myself for finishing uni and getting a proper job. And made all the more enjoyable given that by proper I mean international air-hostessing, and by treat I mean I picked out my pair in a hip UGG store on Mercer St. New York.

Now that was just the start.

From there I travelled the world, and stayed loyal stopping in on UGG sanctuarys across the globe. I’ve amassed a collection each pair deserving of their own passport stamp and story; a longer pair from LA, a crochet pair – Capetown over Christmas, 2 shorter bailey button’s – choosing black or dark grey was like Sophie’s Choice – and now these.

It’s toe-love.

I do my best work in these booties, usually weaving through London and skipping to important shopping lunch dates. And for that, I can say hand on heart this whole look is everything. I mean who can argue with a simple white tee and skinnies, a pin stripe blazer and a whimsy of fluff…?

Can you tell I’ve been in Paris. Je t’aime.
