Time saving …to the next level non?
Whoever thought positioning ‘pyjamas’ as a socially acceptable day-wear option Phoebe Philo for Céline this summer deserves a medal.
Though this top isn’t Céline. And I’ve parted my separates and left pants fending for themselves back home – I’m a pyjama virgin remember!
I’m also convinced that spring is the most experimental time of year for dressing and/or undressing.
With the clocks shuffling forward an hour (2 am this morning btw) and summer sizing up my love handles, I reckon there’s no time like now to not necessarily tuck in but toy with the three T’s: transitional, open toed, trend-inspired.
Plus post fashion month, layering is kind of the best possible outcome for someone who’s already sold their soul to the online pre-order devil – stuff I won’t get my mitts on til June! McQueen sneakers I see you.
So during a high-street epiphany haul, I scored this remarkably cute jacquard pyjama set and convinced myself I could channel Rizzo (life goal) and bury my head in feel-good fashion.
I partnered up with a hacked-at-the-hem flared jean and exotic skin heels for match one. Match two’ll be slightly more tricky. I’ve pencilled in date night and invited jacquard pants to the party. Plan is to show ’em a good time with my long term love tuxedo blazer and obligatory stilettos… Safe-ish bet.
But back to today and to the heroine of the piece this blouse …she just doesn’t stop giving. I like her cut away details and the simple navy piping – what Rizzo woulda wanted.
I threw on a men’s stone-washed jacket to double up on denim (cos I’m a rebel!) Worth every penny and painful ten minutes in the basement of Gap at Canary Wharf was that jacket.
Easy like an easter/duvet day/sofa surfing/egg binging/Sunday morning.
