{shop} l u x e girl guide

DSC_0137_edited-1

I’ve some lesser known l u x e past-times. Like sipping cru Hameau de Blagny and spell-checking Harpers Bazaar. But for me, a blow-out in a ’boutique’? Nothing beats.

Any boutique will do. The more independent/unique/chic the better.

I don’t discriminate  – they can flog me vegan footwear (god forbid), handmade paper (my guilty pleasure), japano funk (luxe tunes) cold-pressed dipping oil (grassier the better) I could go on. I’ve swiped all of that. Kept most of it. And paid for it all

online

Cos it has to be online… Ok, so maybe I do discriminate a little.

It’s not that I’m lazy, I‘m super busy. I‘m not a slave to mac pro, I‘m slave to Manolo.

Yeh I make the odd jaunt to Westfield (good valet) and Choo-strut down Bond Street (with Mr. Luxe/weather permitting), but for everything else, I wing it on a click and prayer.

Good research and high-speed internet are vital. And with these l u x e bookmarks below – I shop-while-I-sip like a pro….

So I thought I’d share

I dedicate this list to like-minded lazy girls everywhere and for Mr. Luxe if he gets stuck for presents

where to Start…

START LONDON. As introductions go, I fell victim to an uneven curb outside START’s flagship. Rivington Street ripped those Repetto pumps to shreds. START staff eschewed me inside and shared new season Sophia Webster’s!! I’ve been a loyal customer ever since.

For Choo safety I avoid the eastend and stick to the e-store. Expect contemporary fashion. established brands; Wang,  Woolrich, Webster. They do indie labels to die for. Just adore!

or ‘amex assault’ as Mr. Luxe calls it. And when I’m feeling amex experimental, I head straight to LN-CC e-store. I pop on their live-stream tunes (think electro-house on valium – v relaxing) and enlighten my senses to progressive edits and luxe players. It’s grade A shopping. Givenchy-good darling. It’s also where I discovered l u x e labels like Tsatsas and where Mr. Luxe discovered my obsessive-Comme des Garcons-disorder. I digress.

Housed in a former boxing gym – not that it matters – the website recreates the show space, so you really never need go.  It’s a sort of ‘if White Cube sold clothes, books and sunnies’ boutique. Capisce? Before you go googling their postcode for directions – hold that thought – after near miss administration, some fresh investment and a refurb mean doors are firmly closed til September. Thank f**k they’re operating online… sigh!

Creators of Desire. It’s a full on fashion coma. And my one-stop sartorial shop . They keep me abreast of who’s trending, who’s spending, show me pop-ups, shed light on hot-looks. En-vogue edits of what’s now and what’s next. Creators of Debt more like – but I love.

If it’s your first visit, set aside a day and a packed lunch – it’s content rich plus style hunting makes you hungry.

I’ve spied a Team Marant tee in the ‘Say It With A Tee Shop’ edit. Totes adore. Top notch.

5 1 sealoebw

Sealoe. For fashion prints and quippy quotes. Plus coffee cups to “I swear on my Chanel” by.

I discovered Sealoe by insta-chance. We insta-flirted and found common Choo ground. They give good insta. And send me nice newsletters. Their collection’s all sorts of chic washed down with sartorial swearing and coffee cup Chanel’ing. I show my support and credit card regularly.

Might measure up my boudoir for l u x e print ‘Mojito’s And Manolo’s’. Very me.

where to ‘look at luxe’ literally..

If l o r n a l u x e: c l o s e t isn’t worth a peek I don’t know what is. It fits the brief of ‘interesting’ and it’s a boutique.  And it’s quite obvious I have ‘treat-yourself-tourettes’, I’ve made maybe 10 too many purchases for even my luxe closet, this season alone. To capitalise on my failings as a fashionista and cleanse my closet I’m flogging my barely worn wears. Then I can buy even more wears not to wear and flog on and so on. Circle of luxe.

Highlights this month include 2 pairs of Louboutins and a picture of me with a very patchy spray tan.
