Back home after my month round trek – I miss it. Haven’t unpacked (air-hostie-habit), hardly slept, hating on life… not really. But oh boy am I enjoying my closet and the endless supply of stuff I’d been berating myself for not packing.
Point in case, a cropped suede jacket that missed not one but three fashion weeks and for why I HAVE NO IDEA.
Have I not spent the last summer spouting about my love for gold accents and ANYTHING suede… uh-huh. And judging by my most recent suede-ploits on the ‘gram, I’ve been a way more experimental suede patron of late.
Suede and denim are the only two fabrics I’m fussed about this season. Plus suede’s a less schleppy way of working the seventies trend (you can’t avoid it).
So now I’m constantly on the hunt for new napper. No one-trick-suede-ponying on my watch. Remember last season when sartorial law insisted we arm ourselves with a belted, suede something? Remember last season when I whipped about Paris robed in the best belted, suede something I could find?
Clearly I’m playing cropped-blazer catch-up. And with a super versatile example I’ll vouch.
She looks killer with a turtle-neck and skinnies but I’m just as likely to 2015 her up – shoulder robing is a thing – with a sweater dress and woolly boots for a *walk with the dog.
