Pretty and masculine. Edgy and feminine.

This boy/girl business is arguably most powerful when you throw an epic stiletto in to the mix.

It’s interesting accents like a strappy stiletto that elevate a simple combo.

My sole purpose when I dress is to look put together – especially when the inside of my handbag says otherwise. I find this easier on the weekend, that’s when I spend way more morning than necessary perfecting an untucked shirt and a perfectly rolled sleeve. Cut to mid-week and it’s a different story – before noon you’ll find me mindlessly hoovering flat-whites, pebble-dashed in crumbs with no time spare for a mirror or an iron.

So I have a special closet, one which deals with life-before-coffee. Folded cotton tees and colour coded denim waiting patiently to be plucked from the bench like on prom night. IN MY DREAMS.

Nope in actual fact I just buy the most robust, non-crease crew I can get my mitts on and hope for the best.

This crew btw is world-class.

Nobody nails a tailored blazer like Scandi brand Gestuz. I’m in love with their sharp cuts and clever darting. They get it. And they give me a waist. Partnered up with loyal servants the mid-rise-skinny-hacked-at-them-myself-denim and the perfect white tee. And my game plan? Plentiful layers til I’ve buried myself so deep J takes the hint and ferries me somewhere warm The Caribbean.

But back to the crew and to the pull-it-all-together bit. The shoes.

Oh the shoes… triple strap goodness recently scored from Daniel Footwear. Designed for maximum security and with flesh baring appeal. No other pump allows you to share so much skin and still remain stable. These babies are a F/W15 no-brainer.

Shoes are on a different deal in our household. They sign a contract that gets them an upgrade to a temperature controlled shelf and a life-long plot for their dust-bag and box. If it’s real love then I plant ’em in a cloche and staycation them by the bedside like a victorian ornament. IN MY DREAMS.
