Yep, about to bid farewell to my pins for yet another cruel winter, so can we agree to this ankle bootie and open-slit midi combo being a fitting tribute.
{For the purposes of today’s look, I sloped the coat over the car bonnet before taking to the pavement to bust out a leg flash – a flash dance you could say}
This winter I’ve decided to shelve knee-highs and hold out for when prancer and dancer deliver me new Puppies.
Til then, I guarantee you won’t see me stepping foot inside a 60 denier crotch sock nor will I cave in literally and stay home (not for me).
Nope instead I’m exploring leggy alternatives, and this wool cape of an open slit midi skirt isn’t a bad place to start.
I love how weighty she is. Heavy-duty fabrics are ideal now winter’s kicked in plus the brushed wool paired together with silk give real depth to the look. I crave rich colours and textures come colder temps.
Look how the open slit in the skirt draws your eye up to the waist and down to the suede bootie – a silhouette hero right there.
I’m only 5’4″ remember.
