Remember last month when I snook off to luscious Princesa Yaiza in Lanzarote.
It was the place I gushed about on twitter; heart captured, appetite surprised, SAD symptoms nipped in the bud. It’s a resort that ranks high on the seasoned traveller hot lists so not surprisingly also played host to plenty of newlyweds, NeverFull totes, a tonne of attractive German families and me …course I had to share some of the pictures that I snapped on my Olympus Pen with you here.
So here goes (also quick thanks to my travel mate Jay McLaughlin – my substitute shutterbug on the trip, I’ve peppered a couple of his piccies in amongst my own naive captures) but i’m starting with the infamous breakfast at Isla de lobos. We dined on the terrace which overlooks the ocean so I was quick to insta-capture this very moment – sucker for those white linen table-cloths and acute chef-skills. Where the foam at.
silk blouse GESTUZ, shorts FOREVER 21, necklace SWAROVSKI, fedora old but similar
Fedoras, fancy silk blouses and sun-traps are my jam.
By day 2 I had overwhelming pangs of jealousy for all the wildlife lucky enough to call Princesa Yaiza home. It’s incredibly lush, Jay and I found the most beautiful shadows to shoot in throughout the day. Still missing the songbird-soundtrack from the trees.
Top Tip: Slope off to the thalasso spa. I sprawled across a lotus flower in full-body-surrender – Best. Thing. Ever.
Controversial maybe, but I felt the fluffy Dolce & Gabanna flat-forms were on point for my first camel-meet.
Casually admiring a mercural, black volcanic landscape a-top a red dust mountain. Didn’t fancy the fluffy Dolce’s chances for that bit.
When white foam’s lapping against your ankles and the sun starts to fade… you prance, he paps.
