London Fashion Week: Just a distant memory (it’s been a week) and some behind the scenes flashbacks (courtesy of my camera-roll)
And it’s hard to ignore the reality that is ‘fashion week’. The racing to shows in shoes I’ve never before shoved my feet into ANGST, the hoovering canapés like a prisoner of war at a presentation I can’t remember the name of PANIC, the do-i-need-an-umbrella STRUGGLE and the does-my-bum-look-big-in-this REALITY.
Special mention therefore to the bastions of sartorial salvation:
My pimped-out Mercedes-Benz G-Wag driven by the now legendary chauffeur Nick
and
My luxury suite of dreams at The Mayfair Hotel: classic five-star digs with unexpectedly minimalist, hi-tech interiors.
TOPSHOP on Sunday 17th was the highlight for me.
I started the morning with a quick personal shopping session at their flagship on Oxford Street – deliberating over anything I could find to go with this forgivingly slouchy lemon number.
Then on to The Mayfair Hotel for a quick spruce and change before the show.
Nick does a mean parallel park.
Backstage at Topshop was suspiciously serene when I arrived.
I got acquainted with the buffet and then went off for a wander to take pics and insta-story the good stuff:
Showtime at TOPSHOP was a who’s who of London A-list, I got lucky and scored a front row seat next to some cute guy from Vogue International and the adorable Bonnie Rakhit.
I instagram-lived the whole lot but if you missed it, catch the full the show highlights and runway looks here
