Genius self-tan hacks that WILL make your fake tan look *real
*by real i mean two weeks in Barbados and no-one’s suspicious
EXFOLIATE: Daily in the shower with Sanctuary Salt Scrub sachets – it last 2 or 3 scrubs (i prefer sachets over a bigger tub because a. they’re travel size and fit nicely in my vanity bag and b. am I the only person that struggles not to dilute their salt scrub with shower water on the first use? am i??)
MOISTURISE: I use an aloe vera based moisturiser like The Body Shop Aloe Vera Body Butter. Not just on my knees and knuckles but everywhere, all over, like a baby. And then I sit and wait for it to sink in for a good half-hour.
TAN: You get what you pay for, so I stick to a fake-tan specialist and my favourite is the Sienna X Gradual Self Tan Lotion. I find lotions create the most natural results and use mine all over, face too. I ignore the experts and apply it using my hands #sorrynotsorry (in order I start with legs then wash hands, followed by torso, then face/neck and shoulders then finishing with arms) if you wash and exfoliate hands between each body section you’ll avoid clown hands.
CONTOUR: I shine up my clavicles/shoulder blades and any light-catching body parts with the niftiest tool in my vanity-bag This Works Perfect Legs Sculpt and Shine Serum which comes as a roll-on and I roll it on regularly. It adds depth/light and shade to your skins complexion and it’s how I maintain my skin’s glowing appearance.
