No sooner do I master the art of subtle negligee flashing then up pops this shirt dress, practically begging me to wind my neck in and tie her up like one of Hedi’s girls.
After all this isn’t the first time I’ve fallen down the diy-bow-tie rabbit hole. It’s fast becoming my styling USP.
And what with all the volumes of fabric and longer-than-average lace hemline… the potential for this dress to drown a petite-girl-frame like mine was palpable. So I nipped it in the bud and knotted some much needed shape to the neckline.
There’s a zillion reasons why I’m a little bit in love with this dress: it’s oversized silhouette (waif-ing me away), it’s pockets (cos fidgety girls love pockets) the fact it’s actually so sheer it comes with a cotton slip – perfect then as a beach coverup, over-jeans kaftan or when I’m home alone and feel like it.
Free People UK…. you thought about me.
Thank you!
