tom …about a boy in Paris

Two weeks ago in Paris with Sézane.

I made a trip to visit the Sézane apartment and to ~~ram raid~~ road-test the new collection. And the best bit of the trip was choosing pieces to wear during my stay – those comfy classics Sézane does so well. I scampered around Paris (smug-married’s style) with Mr. Luxe in super fresh threads and this glorious weather.

Total bliss.

Confession: I’ve been long-term loaning J’s quality stash of shirts ever since we met. A sartorial discovery I made circa early noughties when Carrie cinched one of Big’s shirts with a belt …and made the walk of shame hashtag goals.

So I can’t describe the twinkle in J’s eyes seeing me climb into Sézane’s silky ‘Tom‘ boyfriend shirt. The knowing twinkle of a man who’s legit just got half his wardrobe back.

Years I’ve been mentally prepping for this moment. Never quite finding the One. Mission aborted when the dry-clean-only/not-quite-my-size/disposable-income-deficient first world problems kicked in.

And Indigo was teasing me so I walked away with the Tom shirt in blue too.

Before I convince you I’m a renegade with my non-white shirts and an IT bag my credit card convulsed over, don’t worry…

Ecru was first in the basket!

I can’t tell you how good the fit is on this shirt. The silky (it’s not silk) feel and oversized fit which I reckon will see her fare as well as a beach cover-up as she does a city-girl staple.
